Installation View of Ebb & Flow

Re-imagining natural phenomena and the built environment, WHABBstudio presents Ebb & Flow, commissioned by Wandsworth Council.

Ebb & Flow, transforms Troy House Art Foundation’s London project space into an immersive audio visual experience using real-time tidal range data, accompanied by submerged sounds of the river at Nine Elms.

The climate crisis is changing the rhythm with which global tides ebb and flow. Current tide tables, which forecast tides down to the minute many years into the future, may prove to be inaccurate due to an increase of flash flooding, droughts, and rising sea levels. Ebb & Flow highlights where we are with local tides at the present moment in the timeline of tidal history.

The exhibition will animate transitory experiences of living on the River Thames, in the current time as mass development and change is happening in the local area.

Sound composition in collaboration with Artur Vidal.
